A Youth Water Polo Club for the Denver-metro Area

Thank you to everyone for great turnout at Denver University. We had a great practice. Thank you to the Masters' team for sharing their pool time and to Craig and Brian who got in the water to help our players.
Welcome to the Winter Youth League. To our current players, we hope you enjoy the fun season and chance to play each Saturday starting February 11th (with a break for Grier's tournament). For those of you new to the club, we think you'll find this game fun and challenging with welcoming teammates.
To clarify some things: For Youth Leaguers, we want you to come to one weeknight practice each week. That can be either of our three weeknight locations: Denver, Aurora, or Littleton. (times and maps are in the Calendar section to the right on this page) You can come to more if you'd like, but we require one. Then, come to Saturdays at Gateway High School from 9:30-11:00am for a practice and scrimmage/game.
For current team members, Youth League is included in your regular dues. For those of you just joining us for Youth League, Jan. 30th-March 31st, the cost is $150. Please bring a check to your first practice, made out to: Colorado Water Polo.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact Coach Mark or Coach Kyle. See you at the pool!
Thursday nights at Arapahoe Community College are back to their usual time: 7:00pm-8:30pm
Saturday, January 28th, Hinkley High School, 12U 9:30am-11:00am, 13 and up 10:00am-12:30pm
12U's from 9:30am-11:00am, and 13-18 year olds from 10:00am-12:30pm.
12U's should be dressed and on deck at 9:30am for dryland training. This group will
have the pool from 10:00am-11:00am. We will follow this same schedule during Youth League.
13-18 year olds will have drylands and 'chalk talk' from 10:00am-11:00am and be in the pool from 11:00am-12:30pm.
Reminder to all athletes: bring a towel on deck with you for drylands to provide a little cushioning for your backs during deck work.
Saturday workouts move to Gateway High School February 11th.
Our home tournament is coming up March 9-11, at the Veterans Memorial Aquatic Center in Thornton. So far, we have teams from the Neptunes, Duke City, and Albuquerque, plus two zones teams. We're waiting for confirmations.
We still need help housing athletes from New Mexico (Duke and Albuquerque teams). This helps cut their costs and helps build comraderie between our teams. Please help out if you can. If so, we need you to take them home from the pool Friday and Saturday night, feed them breakfast, and take them to the pool Saturday and Sunday mornings. Thank you to everyone who has offered so far!
