Water Polo for south metro Denver!

Site Information 

The Araphoe location is the primary location for athletes who live west of I-25, and south of I-70.  Our newest workout location is at Arapahoe Community College on Sante Fe Drive.  The pool is on the first floor of the annex building.  It is six lanes wide and 25 yards long.

Practice schedule:

• Mondays - 7:00pm - 8:30pm

Players who join this location are welcome to attend practices in Aurora or Boulder at no extra charge.

Coach

This site is coached by Grier Laughlin, Head Coach and Director of Colorado Water Polo.  A reformed swimmer, Grier was an 11 time All-American swimmer at Cherry Creek High School.  He went on to captain the varsity swim team at Dartmouth College where he was introduced to water polo.

Since then, Grier has coached 9 All-American swimmers, as well as a National Champion.  Grier started Colorado Water Polo in May of 2003.  Over the last several years, his team has produced elite players participating in National Competitions for  the Mountain Zone, players who have been invited to compete for the National Team, and athletes who are playing water polo at the Division I varsity level.

Grier is USWP Certified.

Assistant Coach Brian Kenny also coaches at this site.  Brian joined Colorado Water Polo in 2006.  Brian played for Queen's College in New York City, and was a player/coach for Florida State's club team.  Brian also helped coach the Queen's College men's and women's teams as a graduate assistant.

Spreading the Word on Water Polo

We added this location to give kids in the south metro area a chance to learn the game.  New players are always welcome.  As the numbers in this location grow, we look forward to adding more practices here.  So come give it a try.  Invite friends to come with you.
