  • 2008 Winter Youth League the Best Yet!

17 kids took part in the Youth League Championship Game Friday, March 14th, at Hinkley High School.  The White team beat the Blue team 12-6, with players ranging in age from 8-14.

The newest Pirates began learning the basics of water polo in early February.  After a handful of practices, they were showing good skills and were able to play in scrimmages.  The league wrapped up with very strong play in the final game.

Most players have developed enough to join the main club team.  If you have questions, just ask any of the coaches.

If you know someone who might like to try water polo, just contact a coach at any of the locations at the top of this page.

The Youth League is a beginner league, so swimming ability, water polo knowledge, and aquatic backgrounds are NOT required.  This league focuses on basic skills and fun for the players.  Check here, or write team President and Head Coach Grier Laughlin, to learn when the next Youth League will take place.
